Steven Petrus, Psy.D.

Clinical Director, PSY 19903

Dr. Steven Petrus is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in psycho-educational assessment, child, adolescent and family therapy. Dr. Steven Petrus has extensive experience working with clients ranging in age from elementary school through adulthood in a variety of treatment settings including: community mental health centers, homeless youth agencies, school-based mental health clinics, substance abuse treatment centers, residential treatment facilities and private practice.


Gina Petrus, Ph.D.

Program Director, PSY 17390

Dr. Gina Petrus is a licensed clinical psychologist with a specialty in child and adolescent psychology, specifically in co-occurring disorders. She has extensive experience working with clients ranging in age from preschool through young adulthood in a variety of treatment settings: community mental health clinics, homeless youth agencies, school-based mental health clinics, home-visiting programs and forensic settings. Dr. Gina Petrus has designed programs for homeless/runaway teen parents and their children and has extensive experience designing and conducting group interventions. She also has experience providing outreach services to difficult to reach youth and families.


Clark Miller

Operations Director

Mr. Miller has extensive experience as an attorney and entrepreneur. He practiced corporate law at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP, was the general counsel and chief compliance officer at Imperial Capital, LLC, a full-service investment banking firm and broker-dealer, and is a managing director of Arca Capital Partners LLC, a capital and advisory firm specializing in the areas of legal finance and risk management.


Beth Pauline, M.S.

Educational Therapist

Beth Pauline is a Professional Educational Therapist with twenty years of teaching experience. As an Educational Therapist, Beth offers an intensive process of teaching and academic skill development. Beth is able to create an individualized program designed to meet each of our teen’s specific needs. Beth creates and implements a treatment plan that utilizes information from a variety of sources including the teen’s social, emotional, psychoeducational and neuropsychological context.


Chris Cornell, Psy.D.

Licensed Psychologist, PSY 17894

Chris Cornell, Psy. D. is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with over ten years experience specializing in treating adolescents and young adults with issues related to complex trauma, substance abuse and emotional and behavioral disorders.Dr. Cornell has served as the Clinical Supervisor of a forty bed adolescent residential treatment program for youth with co-occurring disorders and has extensive experience in the development of treatment programs for adolescents and their families. He is recognized as an expert in the treatment of youth with co-occurring disorders and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of the psychological manifestations of child abuse, neglect and the psychological maltreatment of children and young adults.


Daniel Knauss, M.S.

Youth Care Specialist

Daniel Knauss graduated Summa Cum Laude from California Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He received his Masters in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Lutheran University. He is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Psychology at California Lutheran University.


Sherri Burt, M.S.

Youth Care Specialist

Sherri completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minored in Sports Management. Sherri recieved her Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Lutheran University.
